Case Study – The Wheel Specialist

The Wheel Specialist (TWS) was originally known as Lap-Tab Ltd, which has been established since 1955. Today TWS is a UK-leading alloy wheel refurbishment and repair franchise.

Background

Elite FM began its relationship with The Wheel Specialist at its Head Office in April 2019. Back then Elite FM was asked to provide a builder’s clean, however after being pleased with the results of a simple builder’s clean, they asked Elite FM to provide cleaning services on a regular basis to their 6,500 sq. ft office.

Mobilisation

Elite FM commenced the contract promptly employing three cleaning operatives. Our service includes emptying rubbish bins, dusting, wiping down IT equipment, vacuuming, mopping and more.

Throughout much of 2020 (following the Covid-19 pandemic) Elite FM were asked to ensure a serious approach was taken, not only to dealing with potential outbreaks of Coronavirus but ensuring safeguards were put in place for TWS staff and the cleaners. Elite FM invested in the appropriate cleaning materials and personal protective equipment for all staff.

At the height of the pandemic Elite FM applied for Alcumus SafeContractor Approved Covid-19 Deep Cleaning accreditation, which we were delighted to achieve. This has had the affect of providing further reassurance to TWS management that we are doing everything to limit the spread of Coronavirus in their office.

Impact

Elite FM’s Contract Manager works closely with TWS management team, particularly the Office and Facilities Manager. This has ensured TWS is happy with the service, which they overwhelmingly are. Moreover, TWS have been able to use their office throughout the pandemic with the assurance Elite FM is doing everything to keep the premises Covid-19 secure.

We have been in contract with Elite FM since April 2019. They are excellent if you need flexibility in the hours of working, managing to work outside of business hours which suits us perfectly. They always maintain an excellent business relationship and are prompt in response to any queries.
