Case Study – University College Birmingham 15 July 2021

The Maltings located near the centre of Birmingham, is a University College Birmingham Halls of Residence. In 2019 Elite FM were awarded a three-year contract to provide a comprehensive range of soft services to the site. The Maltings comprises 827 bedrooms, as well as common rooms, laundry rooms, and reception areas. The site features landscaped gardens, whilst there is also a sports hall and gymnasium.

Elite FM provide comprehensive cleaning of The Maltings. We provide daily cleaning to maintain the cleanliness of the stairways, laundry rooms, communal toilets, office space, reception, and common areas. The sports hall and gymnasium are also regularly cleaned. A deep clean of the bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens is provided during the summer. Internal glazing is cleaned monthly, and external glazing is cleaned every 6 months.

We also provide two full-time Security Officers from 7pm to 7am to control access and safeguard students and visitors. The Officer is also responsible for locking and unlocking flats where keys have been lost, monitoring CCTV, and responding as appropriate. Our team also deliver a complete grounds maintenance and landscaping service including grass cutting, litter collection and hedge trimming.
